When Dylan loses her father in a car accident her mother and her are both lost. Dylan is taken to live with her Grandfather while her mother reconfigures her life.

Dylan has never met her Grandfather Gus before so their relationship starts out awkwardly but they slowly begin to warm-up to each other. But, Dylan finds out something about her Grandfather that takes the story in a completely different direction.
